There are some sessions that fill my heart in the sweetest way, and baby girl Macie’s newborn session was one of them. From the moment her family walked back into my Portsmouth, Ohio studio, I was reminded of just how much I love serving loyal families who trust me to capture their most precious milestones.

The McClay family has been coming to me for a couple of years now, and I’ve been honored to photograph them through so many special moments. I even had the privilege of doing big sister’s newborn photos, and seeing her in awe of her brand-new baby sister made this session that much more special. Watching a sibling fall in love with their tiny best friend is one of the most heartwarming parts of my job as a Southern Ohio newborn photographer.

Her head of hair was gorgeous—thick, dark, and so soft—and it framed her delicate little features beautifully.
